Hi everyone,
Well, what an eventful weekend! On Thursday we flew to Cape Town and it was so nice seeing everyone again and smelling that fresh Cape Town air! It smells so different than Jo'burg! On Saturday we had a stork tea and Granny Paul made so many things to eat, there was definitely not a soul who left there hungry! Thank you so much to everyone for Caden's stunning pressies. He appreciates it so much! He's definitely going to be one smartly dressed little boy! He also got a cool red racing car that I think dad is going to play with more than Caden, a musical mobile from Great Granny Payne, so many toys, bath toys, accessories, a baby sling, doughnut pillow, baby bag, a beautiful bear clock, a stunning pair of silver boots for his first tooth and curl and tons and tons of clothes! He was also fortunate enough to get a lot of family things like hangers, toys and eating bowl that has been passed on. Unfortunately I had hay-fever (surprize) so it looked like I was crying the whole time, but believe me, my heart was actually singing. Thanx so much again to everyone for being there and to Granny Paul and Great Granny Payne for all the food, decorations and effort put into the party. We had to leave again on Sunday, it's amazing how time flies when you're having fun! We still thought we'll have a snooze on the plane, but the turbulance was so hectic that we sat chained to our chairs just praying that we would land safely. It felt like the little plane was going to be ripped to pieces! Thank goodness we eventually touched ground after what felt like the longest flight ever and arrived home safely at about 21h00. We also received the good news that my cousin Amè is expecting twins! Congratulations and good luck! Hopefully if it's a girl she can inherrit the family name which coincidentally is Elriza (hint-hint). My friend Loren also went for her first scan, she is now 13 and a bit weeks and baby's looking well. We also can't wait to see the first pics of Mornè and Nicky's little one, officially known as "ertjie-Rossouw" until further notice. Keaton's doing well, he's now four weeks old already! How time flies! And his cousin Deqlan is also very active and doing well. They're going for more scans to make sure the cancer hasn't returned. Please pray for this beautiful boy and his family! If anybody wants to follow his progress the website address is www.deqlanhiggins.blogspot.com
Anyway, I hope everybody had a great weekend and is rested for the week!
Lots of love
Elriza

It was wonderful have you all in Cape Town for the weekend. Caden I was so proud of your Mom, she was very clued up when it came to guessing the gifts and after having to dry the doll who had a dirty nappy and then still feed him, we know that you will be looked after exceptionally well. Reezie, I think my head is really swollen now as everybody tells me what a wonderful, very ladylike, soft spoken and feminine daughter I have. You make us real proud. Glad you enjoyed the weekend and it was only a great pleasure to organise the quick-quick baby shower. Greatly enjoyed by all.
Caden I can just imagine how cute you are going to look in all the clothes you got, just a pity Ouma Human was not with us to share the day but I am sure your Mom has told her all about it.
Lots of love, hugs and kisses.
Mom
Hi Amè
Congratulations on the news of the expected twins. May they be a joy to you and the rest of the family.
To our other little hero, Deqlan and his family, keep strong in mind, body and faith and we pray that the Lord will be with you all when Deqlan goes for his scans again. You are always in our prayers. He seems to be growing so beautifully and we pray that the Lord keeps him enfolded in his loving arms.
God Bless

Dear Caden,
Please inform your mom that Oh-paw INSISTS that we have a Stork Tea for MEN ONLY (plus your mom, of course!) But, we won't call it a sissy name like Stork Tea. NO! We'll call it a Vulture- or Fish Eagle Tea. During that time, your Dad and I will teach you the REALLY important things in life - like, how to tell the difference between Amstel and Castle, tec., etc.
If your Mom refuses, give her a big, fat, kick in the ribs!
Love you
Oh-paw
Hello dear Elriza, Wes and Caden, Wow - sounds like you all had a wonderful weekend in Cape Town and that Caden got spoilt rotten!!! Elriza - I know the love you are taking about when you are opening all your pressies and imagining your little prince in all the clothes and using all the goodies you received - you soon will as time flies by so quickly! We cannot wait to meet Caden and im sure he is going to fit into the Irene Mafia Group with Keaton! Wouldnt it be so funny if Loren and Darryl are having a boy too - wow - that would be a sign from above that the must carry on the bond and friendships that all their dads share - namely wes, conrad, darryl ect..... Anyway enjoy this time with Wes and so happy that you all got spoilt rotten - YOU SO DESERVE IT! God Bless, Megs, Conrad and Keaton
